Baptism
Baptism is the next step for anyone who has decided to follow Jesus. If you're ready, or just curious, here's how it works at CCV.
Next baptism Sunday: Sun, Oct 25

Why we're baptized
Baptism is the next step for anyone who has decided to make Jesus the leader and forgiver of their life. Baptism serves as a beautiful symbol of the burial of the old self and the resurrection of new life in Christ. (Romans 6:3-4)
When people were baptized in the Bible, they went all the way under the water. So at CCV, we baptize by immersion.
How it works

Bring shorts and a towel
We'll give you a CCV baptism t-shirt to wear, and it's yours to keep. Changing areas are right by the baptistery.
Be baptized on a Sunday
One of our pastors will baptize you during the service. You're also welcome to ask the person who helped you come to faith, as long as they've been baptized by immersion themselves.

Questions people ask
Anyone who's ready to make Jesus the leader and forgiver of their life.
If you want to do it, you're ready. You're ready when you realize trying to do life on your own isn't working, and you want a fresh start with Jesus leading your life.
One of CCV's pastors. You can also ask the person who helped you come to faith in Jesus to baptize you. The only requirement is that they've been baptized by immersion themselves.
At CCV we base our beliefs about baptism on what the Bible teaches, and in the Bible people were baptized by immersion. If you were sprinkled as a child or an adult, be grateful for the foundation your parents laid. Being immersed doesn't take anything away from that. It's simply your next step, and a decision you make for yourself.
Yes. Talk with Melissa Flora, our Children's Pastor (birth through 5th grade), or Pete Waller, our Youth Pastor (6th through 12th grade).
