Birth–5th grade
Valley Kids
The best hour of your child's week.
Valley Kids is a safe, fun place where your child is known, cared for, and connected, from infants through 5th grade. Through age-appropriate teaching and meaningful relationships, kids discover biblical truth, learn that God loves them, and grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Your first Sunday
Here's how the morning goes, from the parking lot to pickup.
Before you come
Check-in opens 15 minutes before each service, so plan to arrive a few minutes early on your first Sunday.
Check in
Stop at the Valley Kids check-in stations in the lobby. A greeter walks first-time families in, and you and your child get matching tags. It takes about three minutes.
Their hour
Your child is with kids their own age for worship, a Bible story, and a small group while you're in the service.
Pickup
Show your matching tag to collect your child. If your baby or toddler needs you during the service, we'll text you.
Where your child will be
Kids are grouped by age, with space and leaders built for that stage.

Early Childhood
Birth through Pre-K
Babies are cared for by trained, loving volunteers. Toddlers gather for Bible stories and music. Pre-K kids start with hands-on Bible activities that change each month.

Kindergarten–3rd grade
Large group, then small groups by grade
K–3rd graders gather in the Valley Kids auditorium for music, games, and a large-group Bible lesson. Then each grade splits into small groups with leaders who know them by name.

4th & 5th grade
Kids call it The 4/5
Built for the in-between years: age-appropriate teaching, real conversations with consistent leaders, and small groups by grade and gender that stay together through both years.
In a 4/5 small group
- Share about their week
- Read the Bible and talk about faith
- Hold each other accountable
- Pray together
Your child's safety is our first job.
Matching tags
Only an adult with your matching tag can pick up your child. No exceptions.
Screened volunteers
Every staff member and volunteer who serves with kids completes a background check before serving, following Pennsylvania's child-protection screening, including state and federal clearances.
Security on site
A trained security team is on-site every Sunday, and every room has an emergency plan and a first-aid kit.
- Birth–2 yrs
- 2 adults for every 8 kids
- 3–5 yrs
- 2 adults for every 12 kids
- K–5th
- 2 adults for every 20 kids
On lighter Sundays we sometimes combine rooms or grades. These ratios still apply.

Every child is welcome here.
CCV Friends pairs children who need extra support with a trained, screened buddy, so they can join the same room as every other kid.
- One-on-one buddy
- Sensory accommodations
- Communication tools for non-verbal kids
- Quiet spaces and breaks

Our 1- and 2-year-olds usually get Goldfish crackers, and older kids sometimes get a treat from their leaders. Tell us about any allergy at check-in, and you're welcome to pack your own snack and water.
Our volunteers are happy to change diapers for babies through age 2. If your preschooler is potty trained, we'll bring them to the bathroom as needed. Please let their leaders know if your child needs assistance or reminders, and we suggest packing a change of clothes.
We'll text you. We collect your contact info at drop-off, especially on a child's first visit, so we can reach you quickly if needed.
Yes. Kids can bring an offering on Sunday mornings and drop it in the offering station in the Valley Kids lobby. It's a simple way to learn that giving is part of worship.
During a Sunday service, parents commit to raising their child to follow Jesus, and our church family commits to walk alongside them. At least one parent should be baptized by immersion. Ask us about the next dedication date.

The Valley Kids Store
Small group leaders reward kids with VK Bucks when they practice habits that help them grow as followers of Jesus. Kids spend them at the Valley Kids Store, a booth in the Valley Kids' building that's open after most Sunday services, on things like Bibles and devotionals.
Kids can also use their VK Bucks to give. Through our partnership with Heifer International, they can buy animals that help feed families in need around the world.

Most teams serve during the 9:00 or 10:30 AM service. The Store team helps right after each service, and the Administrative team works on its own schedule.
